Hamburg-based Beiersdorf AG announced that it has signed an agreement to sell the Hirtler GmbH soap factory in Heitersheim/South Baden to Budelpack International. The Dutch group, which will acquire 100% percent of the shares in Hirtler GmbH and assume all staff, is one of Europe’s leading contract manufacturers and packers of fast moving consumer goods.

Beiersdorf is also planning the sale of its logistics center in the Harburg district of Hamburg. Beiersdorf will continue to use the logistics center to handle its flow of goods, but as a customer. Employees at the logistics center will be given the option of remaining with the new employer or staying with Beiersdorf and taking up its offer of a place in one of the company’s Hamburg sites.
